Giraffe Mazes

Anyone who plays roulette often enough will start to see, or at least imagine, a mystical relationship between the various numbers that come up. Is it really just chance that causes the ball to land in one pocket and not another? Gaming experts would say that it is all luck that determines which number is the winner. And anyone with experience in roulette would vouch for the fact that there is no way to predict which number will win. And that's why we choose sets of numbers, so that we cover more numbers to increase our chances of winning. One set that will appeal to the mystically minded is the set of prime numbers. That set is surprisingly large in the context of a roulette wheel. So it's not a bad strategy to use when choosing a set of numbers to play over and over again. Of course, no set of numbers really has any advantage over any other set. Statistics over a long enough period of time will show that the ball's path is entirely random. That can be seen clearly when comparing roulette to other types of internet gaming such as solving mazes or crosswords. Those brain activities follow a path that is entirely pre-determined. There is no point it trying to "solve" a game of roulette because the result is entirely random and no one knows how it will turn out.
